Registration groups
NDIS registration groups: all 38, with codes and audit type
When you apply for NDIS registration, you choose the registration groups that match the supports you deliver. There are 38, numbered 0101 to 0138. Each one is either a verification group or a certification group, and your groups decide which audit you face. Below is every group with its code, the NDIS Commission's official name and its audit type, grouped by the kind of support. Open a group for what it covers, the supports funded under it, and the groups it's often confused with.

The rule that decides your audit
Your audit type is the highest of your groups. If every group you pick is a verification group, you have a verification audit. If even one is a certification group (15 of the 38 are), your whole registration is a certification audit. More on that in verification vs certification audits.

How many NDIS registration groups are there?
There are 38, numbered 0101 to 0138. Two were added by the rules that took effect on 1 July 2026: 0137 (providing an NDIS digital platform service) and 0138 (assistance with supported independent living).
What is an NDIS registration group?
A registration group (the rules call it a class of support) is a category of NDIS supports you can be registered to deliver. You choose your groups when you apply to the NDIS Commission, and they decide which Practice Standards you are audited against and whether you have a verification or certification audit.
Which registration groups need a certification audit?
Fifteen of the 38 groups are certification groups, including personal care (0107), community participation (0125), group and centre-based activities (0136), SIL (0138), support coordination (0106 and 0132), behaviour support (0110) and early childhood intervention (0118). If any group you register for is a certification group, your whole registration is a certification audit.
Which registration groups require you to be registered?
Specialist positive behaviour support (0110), plan management (0127), Specialist Disability Accommodation (0131), NDIS digital platforms (0137) and SIL (0138) must be delivered by registered providers. For other groups, you need to be registered to be paid from NDIA-managed funding or to use regulated restrictive practices.
