What 0108 covers
Transport as a support in its own right: getting a participant to and from school, work, appointments and the community, including specialised transport and hire of a modified vehicle.
The NDIS Support Catalogue 2026-27 lists 3 support items under 0108, funded from Transport, Assistive Technology Maintenance, Repair and Rental budgets. Leaving out the time-of-day, rate-level and claim-type variants, the supports are:
- Specialised Transport To School/Educational Facility/Employment/Community
- Transport
- AT Rental - Vehicle modified for Access
Who registers for 0108
Transport and specialised transport providers, including drivers whose business is transport rather than support work.
Kilometres a support worker drives while delivering another support, such as community access, are usually claimed against that support (activity based transport or provider travel), not under 0108.
Groups 0108 is often confused with
- 0109 Vehicle modifications is modifying a vehicle, not providing transport.
- 0129 Specialised driver training is teaching a participant to drive.
Audit: verification or certification?
0108 is a verification group. If every group you register for is a verification group, you have the lighter verification audit, usually a desktop review against the Verification Module. Add any certification group and your whole registration becomes a certification audit. See verification vs certification audits and how the NDIS audit works.
Groups often registered alongside 0108
- 0125 Participation in community, social and civic activities (certification)
- 0107 Assistance with daily personal activities (certification)
Only register for the groups you actually deliver: every extra group adds to what the auditor checks. Our guide to choosing your NDIS registration groups walks through it.
