Hi, I'm James. If we haven't met yet, I'm the person behind Bluetail.

I started it for one reason: becoming a registered NDIS provider should not mean handing three thousand dollars to a consultant for a folder of paperwork. The going rate for "registration assistance" is around $3,000, and a big slice of that is a set of policies and templates dressed up to look far harder than they really are. The barrier was never the paperwork. It's the fog around it, and the people who profit from keeping it foggy.

So I'm building the alternative out in the open - the documents, a step-by-step guide, and the day-to-day software - and sharing the whole thing as I go.

This blog is where I'll keep you posted. No polish, no marketing - just what I'm working on, what's ready, and what's coming next. If you've signed up or joined the Facebook group, think of this as the running update.

What I'm working on right now

Here's exactly where things stand today.

• The document pack - live now. The policies, agreements, forms and registers a small provider is expected to have for an NDIS audit, pre-filled with your business details and ready to tailor to how you actually operate. I go back over these regularly to keep them genuinely robust as the rules change, and every update is free for anyone who's bought it.
• The DIY Registration Guide - basically finished. It walks you through registering as a provider yourself, step by step, with no consultant. I'm holding it back for one reason: I want it reviewed against a real audit lens before I put my name to it, so what you follow is the genuine article, not just one person's read of the rules. The moment that review is done, it goes up here, free.
• The compliance CRM - in active development. This is the big one. Participants, workers, rosters, shift notes, incidents and audit-readiness in one place, built to run alongside the pack and the guide so the evidence an audit asks for is just there. When it's ready I'm opening it up to everyone here.

Where you come in
